Nancy Downing

I am a qualified HCPC registered Art Psychotherapist. I am also an established artist and live on the isle of Anglesey with my rescue dog Coral.

I have a wealth of life experience, working with a variety of different client groups in education and healthcare settings, including both children and adults. I have experience in implementing art therapy initiatives into existing educational settings and advocating the importance of holistic care for vulnerable client groups.

 

Examples of areas of expertise include; additional learning needs, autistic Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, complex communication needs, complex attachment disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, anger management, bereavement, eating disorders, substance misuse including alcoholism, gender dysphoria, cultural identity, domestic violence and dementia.

I currently work in a special needs school and privately from my studio at home and in Bangor.

I am a passionate Art therapist with intuitive insights, dedicated to helping and supporting people through artistic mediums and Psychotherapy practice. ·
